During your time in counselling, we will work towards what you want your outcome to be. And at any point, if you feel I am no longer the right fit, I will refer you to someone who I feel would be more suited to your needs.
On our first meeting (initial assessment), I would assess your presenting issues, reason for counselling, and review my approach with you, looking at compatibility and whether you would like to proceed to regular sessions.
The counselling process requires commitment and honesty from you—with yourself and me. I have a genuine therapeutic intention and dedication, and I will offer you nothing but my honesty and upmost respect.
I offer open-ended counselling, meaning you are not limited to the number of sessions you can receive. When counselling is open-ended, it is important that it is not ended suddenly; however, I am aware this can happen, so we will regularly review progress to help determine our work together.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length on a weekly basis, with the aim of having the sessions set for the same day and time per week.
